Six thousand Years of Art

The Cincinnati Art Museum’s Art Museum welcomes hundreds of important works of art onto permanent display. The exhibition explore a variety of works of art spanning six thousand years, some pieces brought up from the Cincinnati Art Museum’s storage, and placed in what has been transformed into open storage for the community to see. 


These galleries will include most of the antiquities previously on display in the Schmidlapp wing of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s, a large part of the Native American collection, a “salon style” display of paintings, a rotating print cabinet, and important pieces of Fashion Art, Textiles, and Decorative Arts.
